Untangle

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 17 October 2026

Untangle stores your journal entries encrypted at rest and protected by row-level security, which restricts each user's access to their own entries.

To generate tags and weekly summaries, your entry text is sent securely to Google’s Gemini Flash Lite for weekly summaries and TypeSafe’s Jev model for tagging. Both are configured for zero data retention: providers do not retain your text or use it to train models.

We do not sell your journal entries or use them beyond providing your own tags and summaries. We do not run analytics on entry content. We record basic events such as sign-up and first entry creation to understand where people drop off, without including journal text.

Your email address is used for authentication and account access. If you submit optional feedback about your first Weekly Insight, we store your Yes/No response and any detail you choose to provide so we can review whether it helped.

Razorpay handles payment processing. We do not store your card or bank details directly; we store subscription information to manage your plan.

You can delete individual entries from History. For questions about your data, contact untangle.app.help@gmail.com.
